The Hermanita program’s mission is to empower young Latinas to live healthy lives filled with powerful and positive options.

Making a connection means gaining the trust of the Hermanita and fostering mutual respect. Using that connection means letting the Hermanita know by word and deed that she is worth the Madrina’s time and effort because she is valued, meaning, “You are important, and I care what happens to you.”
